26th May - Structure - yes. That it is if you consider practicing about twice or three times a day plus driving to multiple grocery stores for bread and chicken, and basically living early pre-season structured. On the other hand tomorrow could look much differently than today. Though laying around until you have to move actually was not that bad at all, especially because Anne is staying with me!
After we lifted in the morning, made lunch and had some coffee we went on to drive an hour to Braunschweig to run, do some more exercises aaand practice squatting for another hour as we did corner practice and I was trapping the balls. Add in another constant rain shower and be surprised that it was so much fun nonetheless!!
Now we are finishing off our day with more German bread (YUM), another movie and lots of excitement for tomorrow morning's workout, evening practice as well as my yellow fever vaccination for South America - How much I love needles.. :)

27th May - The best part of the day is when you find out you do actually not have as much time as you think. Anne and I thought we would have lots of time, baking, shopping, and going to practice again at night. We made a chocolate cake, which has to be consumed in the first 5 minutes because afterwards it is said to be gone. As there was only two of us we didn't eat all of it but in addition made cookies from left over ingredients just for the fun of it. While those were still baking the craziness begun and we rushed around to get to the city before practice. As I just found out, from my great planning skills, I needed vaccinations for Hepatitis A, B, Typhus, yellow fever and other stuff I can't spell but luckily already had gotten previously. I never thought I would ever in my life have to think about malaria treatments.. But then I realized that I am going to go to the Jungle and it kind of makes sense that I need all of that to come out alive. Very exciting I have to admit actually :) We made it everywhere on time, pretty much because I set my time randomly (I think it is 11 minutes early, but I do not want to check because otherwise I know how much time I actually still have before I would be late). After getting yelled at by the lovely lady that gave me my shots for being all over the place, for not knowing if my plane stopped in Brazil (Why should I care? I asked myself), and for not being able to name the exact cities I am going to she finally gave me the injections about 1 hour after I arrived. Sadly then I missed my ride to practice that night where I would have gone anyways even though the doctor said I cannot do any exercise for the next 3 days.. I am such a rebel sometimes. bla. But just because I could not go to practice I surprised one of my best friends at her apartment and saw her for the first time in about a year! To end the day on another great note I continued working on my so successful search for jobs in the States! Woopdedoo :)

28th May - Shopping day! Finally lol Anne and I took my mum to the city after sleeping in until 9.45am. For everyone that knows me a little that was a major achievement! After we spent that time very productively and successful we went to the train station to pick up Gina, go run and then watch Sex and the City 2. So the plan. We did pick her up. We did go to the place where you run and lift. But did we get to run? No. We left the changing room for which you need a certain card to get in, without the card. Conveniently you need that card also to get out of the building, not only to get onto the track but to literally get out. Because I forgot that small detail we were not able to work out or to do anything apart from wait for someone that was going to free us. Eventually we found someone and because it was so late we went to the movie instead and decided to push the run to the next day. Let me tell you - it was so worth it! We are all becoming rich and going on holidays in 8 star hotels (if that exists) in the desert and next to the sea. Plus personal waiters thank you! Full of energy we went home shortly to then move on to get drinks and go dancing at Sansibar (Rachel A. this was for you ;)! Quality German dancing! We are awesome at fun dancing and hopping around awkwardly but if you watch anyone try to dance the American way you wanna ask them to please stop because it looks SO awkward. Hilarious on the other hand actually. As the DJ got stuck on only playing techno we drove home through the city centre making our own dance party with more versatile songs in the car with rolled down windows!!
