Hey guys so we headed off this morning to the space centre and planed to be there a few hours but ended up being there all day. We saw the mission control centre which was active during the Apollo missions, the astronaut training centre where they train and use the equipment in there to simulate what it is like in space, for example when Apollo 13 was in trouble they tried different simulations to help them and there were scientists working when we were there. We also saw lots of artifacts from the various space missions. But the best part was watching Steve turn into a child when using the remote control moon buggies (for kids) he had so much fun!

When we left we headed towards San Antonio but on the old highways instead of the interstate. If you have ever seen the movies about hillbilly towns you can picture perfectly what it's like. I must say though, everyone is so friendly and helpful here. Y'all come back now ya hear! Yes, they actually talk like that. By the way as you will have noticed we haven't been able to post pics on this just now but check facebook and we are putting some on there.

After driving for a long way, about 5 hours, we finally found room at the inn and it has a brilliant pool, so we will go swimming tomorrow before heading off.

Y'all come back now ya hear! :-) x
