Barreal is a beautiful north andean country town beautiful located in the middle of a beautiful valley, with the tallest of the andean peaks a mere wander down the road. the entire town has a surreal view of the mountain landscape and its snow peaks and from anywhere...

we spent a realaxing 3 days here, doing nothing much but sieta-ing, horsebacking around the country and visiting the national park close to the area... blissful.

spent the next few days wonderng the beautiful streets of salta (20hrs north), before moving onto humahuaca (which we call huhuhuahua - like nemo when he is intiated as shark bait in the fish tank). this beautiful coblestone town is set between a gorge of a canyon and is stunningly beautiful. we hiked up to a gorge for a blissful view of the city and surrounding valleys, as well as a side trip to the villiage of uyrui (i think thats how its spelt), a stunning bus ride of beautiful mountians and hair-raising cliffs, which makes me feel like booking my flight to china immediately..

sigh... tomorrow we will cross to bolivia where hopefulyl we will save more money and see more beautiful landscapes..
