Wild cancun nights

Needless to say we quickly reached their level of drunkedness courtesy of qantas airlines that had given these boys 2 bottles of red wine, a bottle of whisky and a bottle of ron(rum). Together with a german, and french man and a swiss girl in tow we hit cancuns local nightlife...
The first discotecq we went to, we went purely because it was called discotecq bumbum. Wasnt that inspiring so after a bit of reggaeton dancing we left in search of better discotecqs. After long discussions with locals we ended up visiting the nightclub in plaza las americas. Apparently flash. The cover was 60 pesos a person which every other local happily paid except us. (6us in mexico. no thanks). Somehow Thomas (the german) talked the guy into letting us in 2 for 1. He eventually agreed, but somehow in the end we only paid for 3 our us.. when there were 8 of us in total.
Anyway so it seemed like any other discotecq, however filled with people young and old dancing the night away

Samson even showed the local behind us a few moves.Soon after we started dancing and singing along to latin pop (u wont believe how easy it is to remember these songs) a 8 piece live band came out, complete with backdancers and brought a bit of salsa in the house. Samson and I salsa.ed a little, but he was honestly too drunk to cue properly so it wasnt that great. Some couples were soo good it was incredible!
Anyways after an good 40 minutes of salsa the music changed to hard ass :techno:, complete with glowsticks. We thought fuck it and went wild despite the interesting music taste. And then the finale came and huge 1m long skinny ballons (like the ones that crowds in the nba have been banned to use) were thrown in the crowd and everyone went wild dancing pumping balloons in the air. Weird yes, but fuck it. We were in mexico and the 300 plus crowd was going nuts. And weçve got the photos to prove it.
So after an incredible night, we bid farewell to our new Australian friends as they took off for the whirlwind 6 week tour of the world. Makes me realise just how lucky I am to have so much time to travel, coz 6 weeks was all these boys could take off.
Samson spent last night getting drunk with the the other three guys, but a v late night last night was enought to keep me in bed.
Tomorrow we fly out to cuba which Im really looking forward to. Ive been hearing alot of good and bad from all the travellers that we have met so far that have traveled that way, but despite all, Im really looking forward to seeing it all for ourself. We met a really great guy that flew there yesterday who is going to hook us up when we get there so hopefully things work out.
