So the only positive things out of the robbery situation is that, one we have insurance sowe'll get it all back, and two, the bus company felt so sorry for us they gave us free bus tickets to whereever we were going.

So we arrived in merida with huge plans to do some major shopping replacing some of the stuff we lost. Within a night samson and i had bought a new discman, and a new camera! *luckily the camera was on sale so the inflated mexican prices didnt kill us that much. still much more than in aus*.

we discovered the best tex mex place in merida *and decided that tex mex kicks mexican foods arse* and also discovered that mexico is truely a pharmeaceutical dream. we stocked up big on shampoo, contact lense solution *baby bottles!* etc through a few visits to WALMART *can u beleive it!*. Samson and I were walking through the aisles in amazement wanting to uy everything!

Unfortunelty in merida we were stuck in a room next to Mr Guniness book of records snorer who snored so badly we thought he was seriously going to die coz it sounded like he was having a psychotic fit. Luckily A few pairs of earplugs saved the day.

At night the town square is full of live bands playing on the footpaths and huge masses of people dancing the night away. Sam and I werent ready to unveil our salsa moves yet, so maybe next time...
