this is the bus ride that never ends.. it just goes on and on my friends...
caught a local bus from antigua to flores (coz we were too stingy to fork out the extra 10 dollars for lux). What was an 8 hour journey, as predicted turned out to be a 13 hour extravenganza along bumpydumpy roads! Its funny how your tolerance for bumpy dumpy, window shattering, back breaking bus rides suddenly kicks in because you are in a ¨third world country¨, when 2 weeks ago I would barely contemplate catching a school kid filled train at 3pm. Luckily I had a seat :)
Stayed the night in Flores which is a northern town just south of the great Tikal ruinas... Would have been nice to see the sunset over tikal tonight, but I guess that will just have to wait for tomorrow!
adios!
