When Robert and Dale dropped us off at The Harmon's we were greeted by Terry. He welcomed us into his home and introduced us to his wife, Holli, his son, Will, and his daughter, Miranda. We also got to meet the family dog, Bruiser, a terrifying monster that quickly established we would not be friends. The Harmons showed us around their amazing property which includes multiple buildings. They have the main home where their family lives, another smaller home that houses the local surf coach, an art studio that Holli works from, and a 2 bedroom apartment where we would be staying. The apartment comes complete with a washer and dryer! We spent the next hour lounging around the couch and appreciating the comfort of having our own space. After a bit, we all went out for dinner on the Santa Barbara boardwalk. We met The Heller's, Ron and Connie at Brofey's, a great seafood place, for dinner.

We feasted on oyster shooters, garlic baked clams, and fresh baked bread while waiting for our meals. Holli told us that we were working for our dinner by being the night's entertainment. We answered questions and they tried to think of the most unique questions to ask us. Holli came up with a couple really good ones! For example, what part of our bodies were the most surprisingly sore. We told her that we surprised about how often our hands and feet go numb and how long after the ride they stay that way. She also asked us quesions such as "what was the most interesting meal you've eaten?" "What has been the scariest moment?" etc. We loved getting different questions and having to think of different answers. It was refreshing and fun dinner conversation.
