We got a reasonable deal on a motorbike from Sabadee guesthouse and drove to a waterfall called Phasoume Falls where we found Utayan Bajiang Chamasak (Phasoume Resort).  It was all made of wood and very pretty but alas we could not stay (or swim in the falls) so had lunch, took pictures and moved in to Tat Lo falls where we found a cheap priced bamboo bungalow for 5000kip (with cows and chickens as our neighbours).  We swam at Tad Hung in the rapids sliding down them over and over again until our bottoms were very sore.  At one point we were joined by a local washing his elephant as there's a hotel nearby which offers elephant trekking.

We had a great meal in a little restaurant where we were given free bananas for dessert (there seemed to be noone else around in the village!) and played cards all night whilst drinking the local Lao Lao tipple with sprite.
