The bus from Puerto Iguazu to BA was so much better than Andesmar (Expresso Singer) - friendly staff, a choice of drinks with meals including wine and champagne, starters and breakfast was more than coffee and a biscuit. Films weren't fantastic, can't remember much about them apart from the Davinci Code which was so boring and I guessed the ending right from the start which made the film a bit pointless. I just hope the book is better as everyone I know says it's impossible to put down!

Arrived at the bus station and left Hugh as he was staying at a friend's house and went to find a hostel. Was approached by the usual hostel international people and they arranged a room for me and I got a taxi there but ithe room was a bit of a dump and the whole place smelt like an ashtray so I went to find somewhere else thinking it would be easy.......didn't realise it was a bank holiday weekend though (mothering sunday) and everywere was chokka 01 feeding time for camels

! After a couple of hours i found somwhere to crash (Chillhouse) ht only which was good as it wasn't that great especially for the price but I was paying for location (Palermo district). I was sharing a dorm with a group from Leeds which was interesting and they are also booked on the same flight as me to NZ. I went out for a run in the huge park there then to the mall to pick up my Robbie ticket and had a look around but was pretty tired. Was supposed to be going out with my roomates (Thurs is a big night out apparently) so I went to bed for a few hours but at 1am when they were thinking about leaving (and for a hardcore dance club) i couldn't be bothered to get up plus I have nothing to wear and everybody seems to be packpacking with nice outfits, or fancy shirts and jeans..... Not sure when they got back but the next morning I asked a guy in the hostel how it was and he said it was rubbish and cost a lot to get in and they didn't get back till 6am or later so made the right choice!

Friday I had to look around for accomodation as the place I found that day could only give me 1 night again which was no good. Found a b and b (Club Uriate) which was really pricey for what it was plus I was the only person there! 12 dollars and all I got for breakfast was cold toast and crap coffee - nice decor as quite trendy-arty style but wouldn't recomend it - in that part of town people rely on the location and don't make an effort with thier business as hostels 02 finally got my picture of a condor

! Wandered off and found an awesome zoo - it was nice to see animals out of captivity in bolivia and I'm not sure what my take is on zoos but if I have the chance to see animals i'll take it! It was so pretty and really humane with big enclosures and birds could go anywhere they liked so they weren't really captive as such. Couldn't figure out the bus system and the underground doesn't cover all of the city like London so decided to walk to Recoletta area to the cemetary where all the rich people of BA have their own mausoleums and huge statues. Pretty amazing. Evita is burried there too but I didn't manage to find her. Then I wandered into the city centre, past theŽ'english tower' down the tourist street, caught a bit of tango dancing going on but was packed full of people.

Managed to work out the underground and got back to my place, had the worst meal ever in a restauarnt and left most of it which was annoying for the cost and had an early night as I was alone in the accommodation. Really annoyed as it was a friday night and I was keen to see some of the great nightlife I heard about.

Saturday i met Kerry and managed to get in a dorm with her at another hostel (El Firuente) which was an OK place and a better breakfast as you have the option of bread instead of crappy croissants and the staff were really laid back about things like checkout times 03 peacock

. It was chucking it down with rain all morning and what with the red phone box, stuffy underground, litter, grafitti, pollution from heavy traffic and english tower it was like being in another famous big city (Ill leave you guessing on that one....).

Me and Kerry went shopping but as per usual only she managed to find stuff - lots of gorgeous clothes but none fit my hips. I went for a run and as I was leaving the dorm, a guy in the room noticed my running vest and asked if I was from Kirkstall as he lives in Guiseley! Later Kerry and I went out for a mexican meal which wasn't that great but then we got into some nice bars and had some good cocktails. After 3 drinks I was feeling pretty tired as the measures are ridiculous here so we headed to a club that sounded really good to find it wasn't open until 2am and it was only 1.20. We must have gone out too early and by that point it was getting cold and we were tired and had the concert the next day so went to bed.
