After some days in Manila drinking beer generally not doing anything we decided to head North. So did Andrew and as he had the guidebook we decided to follow so that is why I have transited to this town in the middle of nowhere with hardly anything to see? Little did we know that Baguio was our last stop for civilisation before the mountains. To get to Sagada from the Baguio we traveled by public bus for 7 hours amount some absolutly amazing scenery. Our bus hugged the side of the road as we travelled through the mountains. It was the type of journey where you actually don't want to get off the bus because the scenery has been amazing. We did have a hairy moment where we saw the bridge we were due to cross, over a huge ravene and the bridge consist of a wide metal sheet (no side rails) just wide enough for the bus. I did the only thing possible - shut my eyes and prayed. I probably haven't mentioned yet that this is a Christian - Catholic country. While we drove through the mountains we say many tributes to Mary and at one poin a giant stone tablet displaying the 10 Commandments. If does feel wierd after having come from SE Asia where people are mainly buddist to being back in a Christian country where there are churches and Jesus symbols everywhere.
