Today was a wonderful day, god bless doctors. It started off with having all of my laundry done for 8 pesos!!!! (2.10 bucks!!!!) and meeting for a non-caffeinated parasite-compliant-diet tea. Then off walking I went, back to Recoleta, the cemetery, to be...i mean see (no complex there!) Evita Peron (you can debate whether I sang Evita or not) and then more walking to another part of town. I stopped for a tourist priced lunch and then off to the zoological gardens. At this juncture I realized i was not at the botanical gardens donated by the Japanese, as planned....SO I WALKED THERE TOO! They were gorgeous. There I ran and played over the bridges like a little kid and fed the fish. Wait until you see the pictures. I figure if i cant have um for dinner, I may as well feed them and see millions at a time.
Enough nature! I quit girl guides long ago after 3 bouts of tonsillitis while camping. Off to shop and use the Internet, hello millennium! Florida street was packed with tourists and the shopping was not great but the people watching was. The Internet experienced was mentioned solely because of the stench that the guy next door to me exuded out into the air...can anyone say Argentine PEPPY?!!!!! Anyway, he helped me find the @ sign, so i cant complain...anymore.
Booked tomorrow's tango lesson and hopefully show and then returned back home where the lesbian couple i am staying with were starting their church meeting. They are part of a big group of gay couples that started in BA, as it is South America's gayest capital (so they say!). After dinner (YEAH THREE MEALS!!!!!!!!) I went for a walk and saw a historic shopping mall, Abertos. Very cool to say the least. And now, the day is done, the church friends are still here, and I am safe, sound and happy. Hasta luego!
