We have been here a few days now in Santa Elena, Monteverde, and we are really liking it.
There is just something calm in the air here... Very peaceful. You step outside and hear so many different sounds, of nature. The kind it should be.

All in all, we're enjoying some amazing coffee, beautiful scenery and taking in the atmosphere.

A couple of nights ago we went to Jenny and Jorges apartment here in Santa Elena. We first met them a few days ago, in Nicaragua. Jorge is a musician from Guatemala and we watched him play here one evening. Really good!

The best thing was our little adventure today... the CANOPY TOUR!! This is ziplining through the gorgeous forest, at an alltitude of up to 450 feet! (150 meters) You hang from the waist and control your bodypositon with the knees, and slow down using one hand on the cord.
It was fast, amazing, nervbreaking and wonderful! And sometimes, very high high up....
I started of really nervous, and shaking from the adrenalin rush. But after zipping between a few trees I started feeling like a vampire in the Twilight movies, just flying through and above treetops.

One of the best ones was the last one, over 1km long and at an amazing hight. It was so much fun, and I want to do it again right now!

Ryan also took on the so called Tarzan Swing. A drop from a tree that sends you swinging.

We saw tons of hummingbirds (not on the zipline) and they are now officially for me the coolest, prettiest birds. So tiny, so fast, almost impossible to catch on camera. Their wings flap so fast they sound like a beefarm.

The climate here is so nice and I want to carry it with me always.
