The packing begins

So I've begun packing. Rob and I spent about half an hour just getting all my toiletries out of their packaging. Makes you realise how much you really use up. So here's my life spread out onto the bed.
I keep having these dreams where I arrive in Ghana and I've forgotten to bring all the stuff I need. I don't have my malaria medication, I've forgotten sunblock and soap etc. I know I'll forget something, but let's hope it's something I can buy in Ghana. The weather in Edinburgh is surprisingly good this week, though I am looking forward to 25 degrees and a beach within walking distance. Needless to say this will not be a holiday, and I will be spending most of my days at the clinic, but it's nice to know there will be some sunshine. Not sure it's actually hit me that I'm leaving in a week. I think it's the wedding stuff that's thrown me for a loop. I've spent the whole last week immersed in wedding planning that at times I almost forgot I was about to leave the country. Perhaps that's a good thing! Oh poor Rob...
Next entry will be from Ghana...
