We arrived in Te Anau for two nights. The first night, we went to see a movie at a theatre where we had a glass of wine, comfy seats and saw sights of Milford Sound that were filmed over a period of ten years. It was stunning. Then, the next morning, we got up early and went kayaking at Milford Sound. Though it was rainy, the water was very calm, and we did manage to see penguins, a seal and even a dolphin in the distance. In fact, there were more dolphins in the water than our leader had ever seen before. I really enjoyed being on the kayaks for half a day, even though the cloud was low-- there were waterfalls everywhere!
