So, a piece of advice to anybody who cares-- don't try walking from the train station/bus stop to Cuba St. with no map and lots of luggage.  It takes a bit.   I survived, but was not delighted that the hotel was never just around the corner.
Good restaurant choices in Wellington though.  A really nice setting, too.  More great weather too.  Sunscreen is great-- even better when it's applied evenly.   Sigh.  Oh well!
