The one with the forgotten things
Entry 17 of 38 | show all | print this entry |
Whoops some things I forgot to mention in my last blog about being back:
on my first bus ride back there was a guy playing music outloud instead of with headphones (because that's so polite and normal). his choice of music: take on me
wednesday was the inter-UCA olympics, which meant no school! it was a free day off. I came back to a four day weekend, went to school on tuesday and then had another day off. fantastic!
in my psych class, there are two other Flacso kids with me, our professor calls us Los pobres (the poor/unfortunate ones). its supposed to be endearing, it just ends up being daunting and somewhat mocking of my lack of spanish skills. still it makes me laugh to think about how f*cked we must be for this class, if that's what she calls us.
i have a question, just something i sort of thought about one day: what happens if you put a $10 bill into a vending machine, or even a $5? do the machines know they aren't ones and spit them out, or do they take them thinking they're ones? I don't know. I've never tried, i don't want the latter situation to happen. that would suck, you know, if you put in a $10 and the machine thought it was a $1.
Ciao
