Technically I got back last Thursday, but since I haven't mentioned anything about my trip back, I'm going to now. The flight was unbelievably easy. Given my mono-infected state I found it easy to sleep the entire flight and wake up about 45 min before we landed. My good traveling luck continued all the way back to the house. I got through customs, found my bags, and arrived home in little over an hour. Seeing as the airport is about 35 min away I'd say that's incredibly good timing.
My first night back was anti-climatic, might I say, even disappointing, but Friday night was amazing. We went to Amerika, which is a gay club in the city and it was a ton of fun and just the most interesting experience.
Some things I realized I didn't miss while I was gone:
1. Having to hoard monedas to take the bus
2. Lack of pick up after dogs on the street
3. Waiting for the bus for ages at night
4. Recharging my pay-as-you-go phone
Things I missed:
1. Tortilla española
2. Quilmes
Mostly all I do is sleep now. The rest of FLACSO is on the second trip outside of the city, my advisor told me I maybe shouldn't go because there's lots of physical activity. I really think he told me I shouldn't go because I've missed a lot of classes lately. Anyway a little bummed I'm not on the trip right now, but also secretly really happy because I've been sleeping since they left and I have no social obligations right now. Yay
