It took us an hour and a half to drive to San Diego from Anaheim this morning, lots and lots of traffic. We saw some great shows at Sea World, with Shamu's "Believe" the best of all - Orca are just amazing creatures, the sheer bulk of them (the males can weigh the same as our 5th wheel!!) but the grace with which they swim and jump. In the Orca stadium, there were 16 rows of seats (going up) that were in the soak zone - and boy, did those people get WET - but they were warned numerous times that there was a excellent chance of them getting soaked where they were sitting! We were wise and sat further back, after watching the Dolphin & Pilot whale show and seeing how wet people got then, we figured that a Killer Whale had a lot more 'oomph' in its tail...! We also went on a rapids ride, which wasn't as good as the one at California Adventure Park, though we did get a LOT wetter, even with our disposable rain ponchos on. Kate & Fred went on the Journey to Atlantis ride first - a cross between a water flume ride & a rollercoaster, and then Fred, Kate & I (I got DRENCHED) and then Josh decided he was brave enough, so all 4 of us went on the third time.
