Woke up this morning to a howling, windy storm. There was a wind warning of 100km winds along the coast road (which we have to travel on) so we will be taking it very slowly. We have driven past some wild beaches this morning - towering rock shapes close to shore with massive waves crashing around them. Crossed over from Oregon to California at about midday. This is the last state of the U.S.A that we will be visiting. A recount of the states we have travelled through so far: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Oregon, Washington & finally California! We have also visited the provinces of Ontario and British Columbia in Canada. Today we have been driving through some amazing Redwood forests, these are some seriously HUGE trees and they take your breath away. We are staying the night in Garbarville, California - a pretty place, but it's been raining steadily all day, and no sign of it letting up!
