Auntie Sue & Uncle Kurt came around to our 5th wheel this morning, and then we headed off to the Nanaimo waterfront. We saw some beautiful scenery there, with maple & oak trees in all their array of colours ranging from almost luminious red to dark orange and sunshine yellow. Next we went to see Kurt Junior's Dojo school (Karate) and admire all the hard work he & his wife have put into making it such a successful business. Then Uncle Kurt went back home, while Auntie Sue jumped in our truck and took us for a whirlwind tour around the area.

We went to see the famous 'Goats on the roof' at Coombs, however the grass roof general store was there, but it was too cold for the goats and we had to walk up the back to see them (they were in a paddock, not on the roof!) Then we took the kids to a big playground by the ocean, in Parksville, which they really enjoyed, before driving back to Nanaimo and watching some baby deer happily grazing on someone's front lawn. We had KFC with Auntie Sue & Uncle Kurt (or PCF in French..) and talked up a storm again.
