Woke up to another beautiful clear, blue sky and a backdrop of snow kissed mountains - awesome. We left for the trip to Boise, Idaho at about 10am (not realising that we would have to put out clocks forward an hour in Idaho...) and stopped at restaurant called 'The Farmhouse' for lunch in Wendell, Idaho (a small town). The meals there were reasonably priced and huge - Fred had some Texas toast, which was about 2 inches thick! On the way through Twin Falls, Idaho (which was before Wendell), we passed over a very high bridge with a pretty river below. To our horror we saw a man standing on the top of the rail, and as we drove pass Fred said looking in his rearview mirror,"He's just jumped!" He had a backpack on, and a guy standing beside him (who didn't appear to be worried) so we figured the backpack was actually a parachute. We found out later at the restaurant from talking to the cashier that it is legal to base-jump off that bridge - what a relief! So far Idaho looks pretty much the same as Nevada, although there are a lot more green fields being irrigated by farmers, but the land surround those green areas are dry & brown. Tonight we are staying near Boise, Idaho.
