Fred went and got some things for the truck by himself this morning - luckily he didn't get lost. The kids were happy to stay and play at the campground, which had a huge sandpit & pirate's ship playground. We got away a bit later than expected, but not to worry, we weren't in any hurry. We stopped in a truck stop just outside of Baltimore, Maryland, which had LOTS of trucks parked up with the owners sleeping (we weren't meant to park there, but too bad), and gobbled down some lunch. Cherry Hill Park www.cherryhillpark.com is definitely a 'resort' type campground - very nicely paved, big playground, two swimming pools, mini golf outdoor theatre, café, office-come-souvenir-come-RV shop-come grocery store. We got a pull thru spot, sandwiched between two flash motorhomes - our slide out is literally about a foot from the motorhome's slideout. After we'd set up we took the kids over to the pool. One of the pools is pretty much for kids, only 5 ft deep with a big umbrella shaped fountain in the shallow part that the kids can stand under - Josh & Kate thought it was cool and enjoyed their time splashing about - even though it was after 6pm, still very warm.
