So, as I said in the previous blog, there is not much to do in the area but relax. Today, we decided to to rent bicycles and explore the island. Since the heat was HOTTTT, we decided to go travel across a bridge (layed down by the French), to another island which has South East Asia's largest waterfall by volume. The ride was excellent, but once we got to the falls, I have to be honest, we were kind of dissappointed.

It didnt look that big at all, but it did look unsafe to dip into it. So, that even made it MORE dissappointing, because we were SO HOT! After scoping out the area, Mathew and I found a little spot that was small, but safe to dip into.

Once we got there though, a bunch of little children came running down the hill to us. These little kids were so excited and wanted to play with us. They yelled down at us to follow them to a better swimming hole.

These children were so sweet with us! Not only did they take us to a very nice swimming hole, but they wanted to show off to us by singing ABC's, counting up to all the numbers they could, and taking pics with our camera.

They had so much energy, they exhausted us! They would jump into the river, have Mathew jump in again and again, and hang all over us.

At one point, they assummed that since I wasnt swimming around (but resting on a log), that I just couldnt swim. So, ALL of them decided that they wanted to "help" me and swim me to the side that you can jump.

Of course, instead of helping me, they weighed me down into the Mekong River: at that very point, I could feel the water going down my throat.

At that moment, I knew I was in for a rough one soon! I drank a lot of the Mekong!!! NO!!! (and BTW, I got VERY sick over the next 6 weeks... 15 lbs later, here we are! .....) Anyways, loads of fun, and I would do it all over again. :D From there, we tried to view some rare fresh water dolphins from a nearby beach, but no luck. Oh well, cant get them all!
