We left Aitutaki for Rarotonga. Dave picked us up from the airport and delivered us to his house. Kathy soon arrived and we had a great time talking and waddling in the lagoon in front of their house. That evening two of their friends came for dinner and we had a wonderful evening of good food and conversation.

The next day Annie came over and we all went for a hike up into the jungle climbing the mountain behind the house. It was wet and overgrown. We hiked up the edge of one ridge and up to a steep rock climbing area which had ropes ready to climb. It was very steep but we all made it and soon reached to the top. It lightly rained and we were privileged to view ½ the island from the beaches to the inland jungle. By the time we got down the mountain our legs felt like jello and we were dirty with sweat and mud. We all dunked ourselves in the lagoon and washed the mud from our bodies hanging out for an hour or so conversing.

A little while later we all went for dinner at the Waterline which is a very small beachfront restaurant owned by friends of Kathy and Dave.
