Invecargill is cold and windy, very unseasonable. Our campervan battery had decided to go cuput so we stopped at a garage and had a brand new one put in. We were in the green!
We met a very nice family from Wellington on the North Island the night before at the cafe and ran into them again on the street. The teenage girl in the family had the most beautiful curly hair - curlier than mine and I just had to compliment her on it. From there we struck up a conversation and were invited to ring them when we reach Wellington. I really liked them. They all had great energy. I bought some hiking books in Invecargill which made me very happy. We chose to get on the road and leave town since it was just another town and not that exciting. We followed the coast up to Te Anau passing fiords and lakes. It is very magical. We checked into the Top Ten Holiday Park and have found it to be the nicest holiday park so far being very clean with excellent facilities. We did some work on the laptop and made reservations tomorrow for an overnight Doubtful Sound cruise and the Te Anau Glow Worm tour which we are very excited about.
