It rained and howled last night. Thank God for earplugs. Our drive to Dunedin was a gorgeous one. Its been getting greener as we move south passing beautiful deserted beaches, rolling grassy hills, and small towns. We drove to see the Moeraki boulders. These volcanic boulders are 30 million years old and look like giant dinosaur eggs. They are only in 1 small area on the beach and look very strange perched out in the sea. The feeling of them is very old. We feel they hold some ancient wisdom, though what it is I do not know. Lots of people came to see them and children climbed all over them. I wanted to pull them off and discipline them for not respecting their earthen ancestors. Those children need to learn some respect for such ancient beings of the shore.

We took the scenic route following our very cool guide book. We drove through a small holiday town called Kaitaki which had a beautiful beach with limestone pinnacle formations standing side by side in the sea. The drove south up and down steep hills. We passed cute little towns on the hills which I adored. It was one place I could see myself living. It was remote but so gorgeous!

Finally, we arrived in Dunedin. It reminds me of San Francisco. Lots of steep hills, and Victorian architecture - Very English. We found a cute little holiday park close to downtown. Located in the main center of town in Otago University which is the main university on the South Island. It's a fun funky little area full of students, obviously. Today was cold. I sported my new beanie hat and coat while people walked around in skirts and shorts. Our blood is still very thin.

We spent the evening in our RV catching up of email and editing videos which I hope you will view.
