Sadly, we left Edoras (Mt. Somers). I will never forget the beauty, expansiveness and magickal energy of the place.
We were told by the guide book that Timaru would be a nice holiday town to visit. That was surely not the case in our eyes. It was just your normal everyday town set on the coast. The beach was not impressive. We got a few supplies in town at the few stores that were actually open. We found a great Turkish kabab eatery. We struck up a conversation about Turkey with the owner and he really liked us. So much so, that he gave us free Turkish Delight. Yum! We checked into the Timaru Top 10 Holiday Park later that afternoon where I took to my domestic duties. I vacuumed the camper, and did a ton of laundry while Jim took a much needed nap. He's still plugging away at working and still can't get caught up. Thank God for this cell phone with internet connection!
