Arrived in London! Yay! Got here in the late afternoon then got a transfer to the hotel. I was a bit chicken so organised a transfer however I found out later the subway in London was way easy.
Spent the next day doing the hop on / hop off bus with a new friend I am sharing with at the hotel. Went into Buckingham Palace, went on the London Eye, into St. Paul's Cathedral and took lots of photos of double decker buses and everything London =) My favourite part I had to say was finding two London cops on the street and they got a photo with me! Made my day.
Had pretour meeting in hotel the night before and met some of my new friends who I will be sharing my adventure with. It was a sold out tour with 52 people on the bus altogether. Of these 52 people, I swear there was like 10 couples, so much for single contiki tours lol! I was a little worried as I had a boyfriend which I left at home.. however I later found out there was probably about 6 girls who had boyfriends at home too! On our tour there was mainly Australians and New Zealanders. There was 3 Americans, 2 South Africans, 2 from Singapore and I think about 5 Kiwis, all the rest were from Australia.
