Starting point.. home Cairns, Australia.  Have been saving up for this trip for over a year and wanting to go to Europe and do a Contiki for as long as I can remember!  Thought about time I get my act into gear :)

Didn't have any friends that wanted to do the same thing as me or be able to get away/afford to do the same trip, so I decided to do it by myself! Erk! A bit scary taking such a big trip around the world by myself but one of the best things I ever did.  Made me feel like I could do anything!  Meet some great friends who I am sure I will stay in contact with for many years after this.  Jo in Perth in particular :)  We were contacting each other before the trip and roomed throughout the trip together.  Actually.. we might be meeting up in Las Vegas at the end of 2008 hopefully!

I recommend a Contiki for anyone that is a little bit nervous about travelling by themselves.  I have only heard good things from people who have done them.  Hopefully this blog will be an inspiration to others to see Europe!
