I have decided to check out Uruguay for a few days before continuing my travels in Argentina.  The journey over here was pretty cool- and in the same style as my travels in this part of South America... it was in style!  :)  I took a boat directly from Buenos Aires to Colonia, Uruguay where I connected with a bus straight to Montevideo.  The entire journey including immigration took under 7 hours.

The immigration was all done in the same facility, which I have never seen done before.  The Argentinian and Uruguayan officials were sitting at the same desk and I simply had to stand in one line... stamp... stamp... and the immigration process was complete!

Montevideo is a lovely little city- and I have once again decided to splurge on a nice hotel!  I am only 4 blocks from the waterfront and it makes for a lovely little stroll.  I am in heaven here.  And if you can believe it... the meat here is even more tender than in Argentina!
