** I promise that future journal entries will be more interesting! This will NOT be the norm!!!  :)

Sitting on the floor in the Houston airport... waiting for my 2nd delayed flight of the day.  I can hardly sit still- not from frustration or impatience witht he delay of flight 623... no, itīs nothing like that.

You see, there is this small but disturbingly powerful ball of energy that seems to be coming from within the pit of my stomach.  I am acutely aware of the air that flows through my nose and filling my lungs... each second that passes so slowly- every tick, tick, tick of the clock seems to feed this unknown ball of energy and it is beginning to consume my thoughts as I grow all the more antsy.

I check my pockets for my plane ticket and passport and am once again reassured that I am "good to go."  I have already made this reassurance to myself a couple dozen times and I am guessing that I will do so again and again even though my ass is still sitting on this floor.  The floor that is now making my cheeks cold and my right foot is starting to fall asleep.  I donīt think I am going to "wake" my foot up cuz I kind of want to see how long I can stand it.  OK I guess it is official- I am FREAKIN bored OUT OF MY SKULL!!!  Let me get on this plan already!!!  Hmmm... I guess some of what I am feeling is impatience after all! :)

ARRRRRGHHHHHH!!!  I just looked up at the departure sign and as I was looking the darn thing CHANGED!  What the heck? Another delay? Oh for Peteīs sake... I am going to walk around a bit.

BTW sorry to disappoint those that were wanting to see just how long I could stand the sleeping foot... :)

I just walked to the other end of the terminal- had a drink and came back to find yet another delay.  This one is not too bad- they pushed the departure time back by 10 minutes.  But this additional delay is making me question the airlineīs competency in computing flight times because now we are talking well over an hour delay.  I mean even with head winds or tail windscanīt these guys calculate the arrival time within an hour or so?  It isnīt like this plane can be stuck in traffic.  "Yeah, this is Captain Kirk... I am stuck in a traffic jam here on skyway 72... It looks like I might be a little late.  Can you let everyone know?"  Or maybe this pilot is just an idiot and got lost... could that be it?  Did he make a wrong turn somewhere?  :)

I am going crazy... I am not the most patient person in the world.

This little girl needs to take a nap!!!  I am a big ole fussy grouchy pants.  No more writing for now.  Hasta la Pasta!

I am about to board!!!  Woo HOO!!!!  Yikey snikey I am excited!
