Nasca lines

Had to make a stop in Nasca of course to fly over the Nasca lines. We were both a bit underwhelmed, we thought they´d be bigger, but there are a lot of them. Brenda enjoyed the flight in a poxy little Cessna, Niall not so much.
They do of course leave you wondering what their purpose was, other than relieving the boredom of people without TV and the Internet. We visited ancient Aqueducts which are still in use for irrigating crops and other than that we spent some time lounging by the pool. We didn´t have to go to the disco because the noise of the disco came to us but just in case we got to sleep early there were a few gunshots to keep us on our toes, we´re telling ourselves it was someone celebrating!
We now have a 14 hour bus journey to look forward to at 8 O´clock to get to Cusco. More thumbnails ...
