Got to Huachachina, a picturesque oasis surrounded by huge sand dunes just outside Ica. You get a very strong Laurence of Arabia vibe when you set eyes on the place, but not a camel in sight.

Had our first shot at sand boarding which resulted in sand getting everywhere.....EVERYWHERE!

Other than that lounging by the pool is the favourite pastime but we did go to the museum in Ica where they have a great spooky display of mummies, elongated skulls and brain surgery tools made of stone - ouch!
