British Airways Prague to London

Our last day in Prague. We spent the morning packing up - the apartment is huge so there is all the more room to hide things. The property owner Mira picked us up from the apartment at 1:30pm. Our flight to London was at 3:50 on British Airways. We flew over Wembley Stadium just about the time of kick off for the FA cup final. I'm sure I spotted an offside play the referee missed. We landed at Heathrow and got to experience the biggest airport in the world. European Union residents get fast tracked through customs whereas we had to wait in the lengthy line for non Europeans. We then took the express train from Heathrow to Paddington Station (of Paddington Bear fame). The station was quite close to the B&B we were staying at near Marble Arch, but too far to walk. We took a cab to the B & B. It is located in a pretty row of 18th century town houses, half a block from Hyde Park. We were on the third floor - no elevators. After getting settled, we walked down to the Park. It is very cold, much cooler than Prague, but not raining. We followed the trail through the Park to Kensington Gardens. Saw the Serpentine ( a Lake in the middle of the Park), the beautiful Peter Pan statue and the Princess of Wales memorial fountain (unfortunately it was not turned on). Daylight lasts quite long here now, so we were able to stroll through the Park until almost 10pm. We then had a delicious late dinner in an Italian (seems to be the favourite) restaurant off Oxford street and admired the elaborate Queen's Jublilee decorations along Oxford Street.
