Well we are almost at the end of our time in Sri Lanka....its been fantastic, we both totally LOVE the country and its one of the best spur of the moment decisions we made!!
So, it also means that we wont have that long when we get back to India...but to be honest the two main things/places that we both want to see in India are the Taj Mahal in Agra and the religious Hindu city of Varanasi. Both of these are on our itinerary when we get to India...so we are happy with that.

We left Unawatuna 2 days ago, we took a bus the few kms to the larger town of Galle, there we changed buses and took another bus the 30minute journey along and round onto the west coast to Hikkaduwa.

Hikkaduwa diddnt have a great write up in our crappy guidebook!! But it sounded appealing - known as "the" backpacker ghetto of Sri Lanka, the original hippy hangout of the country set on the coast with a beach and budget guesthouses.

Its beautiful, a lot of the accommodation here was obviously rebuilt after the tsunami, so its all fairly new, we are staying in a really nice guesthouse - its so clean and modern, there are a few restaurants straddling the wide sandy beach - and so far we have enjoyed good food and spent our last few days chilling out!!

We shall stay here in Hikkaduwa until Wednesday, possible Thursday and go straight to the airport 3 hours away north of Colombo, we arent too sure yet because we have to send parcels home from Sri Lanka and its proving a bit difficult!!!
So, we will be back in India on Thursday evening - straight to Delhi - the capital.

Things that we will always remember about our time here in Sri Lanka -

How Nice and genuine the people are,
How many mosquitos there are.....this time of the year...TONS!!!!!!!!!!
How humid and hot it really is just before the monsoon,
The stunning Buddhist Temples and beautiful puja we attended in Kataragama,
How green it is inland and how beautiful the sandy beaches on the coast are.
We never knew rice and curry could taste so good!

Thats all for now............!

Hugs and Kisses
