We had the most AMAZING xmas, it was actually quite weird being in the sun and it being so warm on xmas day, we could look at the beach from our hut, and even though we were both dying with hangovers it was a really great day!

On xmas eve we drove into nearby East London and visited a big shopping mall where we both went our seperate ways and xmas shopped for each other, it was cool but strange walking around in shorts and a vest top, in shops with xmas decs and carols playing!
When we got back to Cintsa, that night we had a really beautiful 3 course xmas meal, salmon and champers, turkey and beef roast and choccie mousse for dessert! It tasted fabulous even with the champagne gravy where I (Ali) managed to tip the table and drinks over!
We partied hard on xmas eve and went to bed when it was getting light on xmas morning, about 4 hours later we opened the presents we had bought for each other and went down to the pool for a champagne breakfast, after that we just chilled out for the whole day, drank some of the vino we bought on our wine tour in Stellenbosch (suprised it lasted that long!!) on our wooden balcony with a couple we met there and then enjoyed a Braai (SA word for a bbq!) around the pool yesterday evening.

Today we drove to Coffee Bay which is still on SA Wild Coast, it took us about 4 1/2 hours to get here, but it was an amazing drive! As we got onto the road to Coffee Bay we could have been back in Kenya not in the modern South Africa we have come to no!

This whole area is Xhosa, and there are thatched huts everywhere, the beach is really pretty and its really small with loads of locals which is what we like, Tommorow we may even go into the Transkei countryside and do a Xhosa village tour, we might see a witchdoctor (known here as a Sangoma) and visit a Shebeen..(An illeigal bar!!!!).

All for now, hopefully we can upload some piccies when we get to Durban on about the 29th/30th.

Love and hugs and MERRY XMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL...Have a few drinkies on us!!
