We left Mossel Bay first thing this morning after breakfast and travelled the short distance (about 1 1/2 hrs) to Outdshoorn, we drove through spectacular mountain scenery it was so stunning and we took tons of piccies!

When we arrived in Outdshoorn we went straight to an Ostrich show farm, after seeing Ostrich in the wild in Etosh and the Serengeti we were looking forward to getting up close and personal with these amazing animals.
We learnt loads about their anatomy and the egg laying process - it was a major tacky tourist thing to do, but realy interesting - I even got to stroke one!

The fields around Outdshoorn are just heaving with tons of Ostrich, there are soooo many its unreal, and all of the shops sell your usual tacky tourist gift - everything here made from Ostrich!

This afternoon we drove 30kms north of Outdshoorn and visited the most fascinating place, it was called Cango Caves and it was absolutly amazing, the formations inside the caves were brilliant.

To top off our Ostrich day in the Ostrich capital of the world, we ate the most delicious Ostrich Steak and Ostrich sausage for dinner and in the morning we have....You guessed it....Ostrich egg!!
