We arrived this morning into Kenyas capital city Nairobi, we are staying a suburb just outside of the city centre called Karen.
We have had a really exciting past few days, when we left Jinja we travelled to Eldoret which is located in Kenyas Rift Valley, it was really cold there,it was just an overnight stop on our way further south into Kenya. Next was Nakuru where we stopped just for an hour for a spot of shopping, before travelling south to the beautiful Lake Elmentia, where we stopped for lunch and gazed at the thousands of flamingoes that were on the glass like Lake.
We continued onto Lake Naivasha, where we stayed for 2 nights, whilst there we visited Elsamere, home of Joy Adamson, famous for the book and film Born free, we had afternoon tea in her back garden...sooooo nice!
Yesterday we took a walking safari through a reserve just half an hour for Lake Naivasha, the place was called Crater Lake and was really pretty, we saw zebra, Giraffe and Hippo.
There are so many monkeys climbing the trees of our campsite and at night you could hear them growling and the hippos roaring!
Karen is a leafy, small suburb, with some beautiful big posh houses that we passed on the way to the campsite, we have a basic but proper bed for the night in a hostel on Karen Campsite.
This connection is dead slow so sorry that this is all a bit rushed and that we still cannot upload piccies, but hopefully when we get to the next city we can try!
Off to Tanzania tommorow...
Love hugs and kisses

This sounds so wonderful, but how can a person afford this kind of travel?
