Today we visited the dead sea, we took a minibus south out of Jordan for about an hour and then a taxi to the Dead Sea itself. It was stunning, we loved it, the heat there was much stronger and it was really hot, getting into the water was just like being in a bath.
It was fantastic to know that you are at one of the lowest points on earth, and standing on the beach in Jordan looking across the Dead Sea which is actually a lake to Israel.
The water was sooooo salty, and we got in on our mouth or in our eyes a few times which was painful! But just floating in the water without even trying was so weird! You stand near the water on the beach or actually in the water and underneath the sand is the mud which the dead sea is famous for, you just put your hand a small amount underneath and dig and you get a handful of soft therapeutic mud, which of course we rubbed all over our bodies and then swam in the very buoyant, warm, but very salty water.
We had a lunch here in the restaurant too which was great! Mashed potatoes!!!

We are on antibiotics for the little problem we had and are as a result both feeling much better! Tommorow we leave Jordans capital city of Amman and travel south to Petra.

Love you all tons
