I went down to Arches National Park near the touristy town of Moab for a day and did some great hikes. Vivid blue sky, red rock, perfect weather, what more could I ask for?

Arches National Park is famous for Delicate Arch, which is the most recognizable and is a state symbol of Utah.  It's on my license plate!  I've been to Delicate Arch like three times before so I decided to skip and hiked the Devils Garden Primitive loop, which is about 5 or 6 miles and goes past Landscape Arch and Double O Arch among others.

I've been to Arches National Park many times but there's still a lot I haven't seen.  I'm interesting in hiking the fiery furnace but you have to either go on a guided tour or obtain a permit.  I asked them why and they said that it's easy to get lost in there.  Makes sense.  It also costs an extra $10.  The next guided tour wasn't for a couple more days so obviously that wouldn't work.

I suggest for anyone that visits Utah they check out Arches National Park.  I've seen them all and it's definitely my favorite.
