I felt anxious about coming back to Salt Lake City. I'm tired of constantly coming back to Utah from these other incredible places of the world. Not that Utah isn't incredible. It is. It's underrated and underappreciated, that's for sure. It's just that I've already seen almost everything there is to see in this state. I suppose the key word is "almost." I believe I'll have to take this time to see all of Utah, then I can definitely feel comfortable the next time I leave.
The two reasons I always end up back here - Family, and college. It's just easiest for me to finish my schooling in Utah because of the way it works with cost, with me still being a resident of Utah and all. Although I'm sure many people would be bummed about going from Hawaii to Utah, to me it was going from one paradise (beach, ocean, palm trees) to another (snowboarding,
mountains, resorts). Just a different kind of paradise.
The university I'm attending, the University of Utah, is probably one of the best to attend if you are a skier or snowboarder. Why? Proximity. 30 minutes away from world-class resorts. I just hop highway to Park City, and I'm there! Snowboarding everyday between classes - it doesn' get much better than that! Not to mention it's the greatest snow on earth. Well, obviously that's an objectable opinion but undoubtedly it is incredible. I figure it's better just have a good attitude about Utah and enjoy it as much as I possible can while I'm here.
