Went to Samode, in Shekhawati, today to visit an old palace which has been restored to it's former beauty and is now a really posh hotel.  It was 500rps to get in but we haggled to include food to - good work there, and good tea!
the palace was nice if souless, really glad i'm not staying there - far too posh for the likes of me.  We also walked up to the fort and some locals said there wasn't much inside but the temple further up was nice.... we came to the conclusion it can't be that far and that we should walk on.  6km later and many slippery ups and down further along we get to the temple which is beautiful, and well worth the trek.  Am feeling slightly smugg cause of the 5 of us Simpn and I are the only ones not to get really burt, dispite me being so fair....thank you scarf and factor 50!!!
It's Nikki's last day cause she travels on down south tomorrow at 5AM!!!  do some last little bist of shopping for her and head back.  managed to see some really beautiful paintings by some local artists, now the very pleased owner of a beautiful camel of love painting.  Good stuff.
