Hello, my 3d day in Jaipur, been away nearly a week now.
My haggling skills are becoming highly honed and yesterday i managed to get 2 salwar suits for 300rps each, and some shoes for 160rps (cause i stuck out i my clothes and my shoes had now grip.
have been a bit of a tourist but not much.  Yeaterday i had 3 firsts, 1. teaching in the class room, i'm still a little quiet but i'm getting there today now i've worked it out a bit. 2. a bicycle rickshaw, was really nice and was pleased it was down hill for the driver cause it was really hot and finally the Teej Festival to celebrate the coming of the monsoon- painted elephants and all sorts.  The 2 other volunteers are called Simon and Nikki.  Nikki is from ilford (who strange) but stranger still used to work in wimbledon last year!! She's here for another week and Simon is from portsmouth and here for 4 weeks like me. He's such a gent and a sweetheart :)
still very hot but coping better and it's not so muddy here amazing pot shop
amazing pot shop
.
would just like to say a few funny things i've had happen - in delhi when i bought the salwar suit the man asked me what fit i would like and with a strong accent said 'looose fiiiieeeet.....tight fiiiieet....treeendy fiiieeeeeet........seeeexy fieeeet' it cracks me up, will def have to do the voice for you, another stall holder was showing me some painting and was pointing to things and saying 'this is peecoff, tiiiger, this is treefleeef, caaam.....this is lukfy feesh' it took me a white but i finally worked out what he was saying.
Fiona will be proud cause i'm teaching the children the penguin song, they laugh alot :o)
offski to haggle for some socks to make sock puppets, seeexy fieeet! :)
untill the next installment loyal readers over and out!! lol
