NICE and MONACO (Monte Carlo BABY!)

After travelling south we head through Italy towards the French Riviera.  Not without some trouble from the Italian Boarder security who searched our bus from top to bottom with a sniffer dog (who was a pup in training) an it pushed us back by about an hour.  They were pretty funny to watch really, more interested in smoking an wathing the pretty girls go past than in actually fining something!!

Anyway after finally checking in to our hotel we headed into Monaco for an elegant dinner an the opportunity to look around the rich & famous town.  Dinner was outstanding with 4 courses an in classic French style, with lots of wine too.  Before sunset we had a look at the Royal Palace official residence of the Grimaldi family very famous in Monaco. Then we took many photo's overlooking the harbour an around the Monte Carlo casiono's.  The cars along the strip were out of this world, very luxurious we got a few photo's with them =)

The next day was free for us to explore nice.  Instead we headed back to Monaco to see some more of that city as we liked it so much.  We looked for the classic car museum but went the wrong way an ended up in a "Doll" museum of all places instead, very funny with all the boys that were with us. Luckily we got our money back!!

We had a bite along the warf an drank cheap cocktails, it was a great afternoon.

After heading back on the metro into Nice, we hit the beach.  It was about 2 blocks from our hotel which was very handy.  The beach was a little different to ours as there was no sand-only pebbels, but it was ok for a while until the rocks got a little too hot under your Butt. It was like having hot stone therapy massage but for free =)

After dinner, we all decided to see some of the Nice night life.  We went into this bar that played live (english) music an we all had a blast....except for the no sitting down policy, you were either standing or dancing....an if you were dancing it was on these large long tables, an you had to hang on to the roof.  Not exactly safe when alcohol is involved I guess but we all managed to have a great time without any injuries or falls.  We left at about 2am got lost on the way home, the boys refilled with a Kebab an we finally got home around 3am, after a great night!!

Nice & Monaco were amazingly beautiful places along the French Riviera, if you get the chance to go there do so, you won't be disappointed.
