Well after Paris we made our way through the vineyards of Burgundy, past Dijon towards the towering Alps of Lucerne, Switzerland.  The weather was not too nice for us here, but we tried to make the most of it.  After settling in to our hotel we had dinner an head into town for a beverage or two with a few of the tour group, it was a late but great night.

The next morning we could go off an explore this very pretty city on our own for a few hours before the "optional" excursions.  However, the weather was so bad none of them went a head so we had more time to do our own thing like have a classic "Fondue" lunch.  It was so good, an well worth the fun experience!!  We saw the carved stone Lion monument which was in remeberence of the war, which the French Gaurd helped to defend Switzerland, an many lots their lives.  We walked across the old Chapel Bridge an wanderd the old cobbled streets shopping for chocolates an many people bought "Swiss" Watches or Army knives.

We headed up to the look out, an after climbing many, many, many stairs we saw the greatest view of the water side city.  It was awe inspiring!

I hope you like it.
