Helllo again everyone, we this time we find ourselves in yet another french speaking city with a little more Bi-lingualism though!! We got into Montreal at about 4:30pm an the train station was HUGE.....you sould tell that this was going to be a BIG city indeed. We checked into our hostel, an its seems like a really funky place with lots of activities to do and an on site bar....which is always handy =) for meeting people of course!!
We took a map an made our way into town. There were lots of people in the streets as the Grand Prix had just finished, an there were people driving Farari's & Porche's everywhere Simon was in heaven!! It was really hot when we got in an so humid, but that didn't last long as we were heading towards China town for some dinner, it began to bucket down on us, an we were caught int the rain-Damn it.....it lightened a little so we made our way to a local Vietnamese restaurant an the food was amazing an CHEAP-winners =) The thunder an rain finally settled as we finished our Vermicilli noodles then we started to make our way back through the park lands an the busy streets of people to where I find myself now writing to you all =) Tomorrow there will be more..
Well today it was up early to get up the Mountain 1st thing!! Mont Royal was the name of it, an where the name for the city of Montreal came from
We then had some adreniline running through our veins an pretty much walked the entire city-old an new + china town again!! We took some time to go in an pay hommage to the famous Notre Dame Basillica, which is 175 years old. Inside was awe inspiring, the roof the chapel and the work an detail of it all was breath taking. We just missed the tour but enjoyed ourselves in the Solem presence, taking in the "spirit" of the place. The Pipe organ in the loft was brilliant with 7000 some pipes. We then had some lunch, an headed back to long road to the Hostel, for a refresher =) After that we went back into town an caught a movie in the HUGE cinema complex, all with in the Underground shopping mall-it ran for a good 2 kms, but we didn't brave it as we were very much likey to get lost in there!!! That was the end of our stay in the Great city of Montreal, we had a ball!!
Enjoy the pics-xoxoxo

Downtown Montreal
. It was a gentle walk to the top an we took about 1 hour to do it at a casual pace, taking lots of pics an enjoying the beauty of it. At the top there was an amazing view of the city skyline, streching as far as the eye could see-it was cool at 10am in the moring all before breakfast =)We then had some adreniline running through our veins an pretty much walked the entire city-old an new + china town again!!
