Hi everyone,
Well this was just a little of what our trip was like. We were greeted at the airport by Salsa Dancers and Cuban music, a very friendly and warm welcome!! Our Resort twas the Barcelo, it was great and the newest of all the Hotels on the Strip. We had our own little Bungalo not too far from the pool and dining hall-convienient!!
The 1st day there we just wondered around to check out all the facilities, and walked a little on the beach and relaxed most of the day.  The sand on the beaches was like walking on Mousse, it was soft & lush and nothing like we are use to back home.  The water was not too deep and warm, so nice to have a dip, you just had to be careful of the rips.  Day 2 we rented Bikes from the resort and went for a ride into the village about 8-10kms away, the only problem was Simon's chain kept falling off every now, the sore butt and crazy Cuban drivers =) But it was so much fun. We had a look at the Marina, did a little tourist browsing and then went to the Turtle farm.  There was a mammoth one and a lot of other tanks with small and bigger ones in them.  When we got back to the resort we had a dip in the pool, drank cocktails and then got up on stage for a SALSA lesson. It was so much harder than I expected, we just didn't have the rythem like the Cuban's I guess!!
Our stay was lots of fun as I'm sure the photo's suggest.
Enjoy.....but there is more
