England has loads of music festivals over the summer months (the most famous being Glastonbury)and we finally managed to get organised and snap up some tickets to the Isle of Wight festival
before it sold out(as events here tend to do very quickly, and then end up on eBay going for ridiculous prices).

The festival started out as a hippie fest in the late 60s and went for a few years, then was resurrected a few years ago - it was held in a massive park area near Newport, one of the larger towns in the Isle of Wight. Fantastic weather, good music, and a really nice chilled out atmosphere, and even pretty clean port-a-loos! We couldn't really ask for anything more....the only downer was accidentally pitching our tents in the middle of a group of lads on a 3 day stag do who insisted on larraking about all night both nights right (and literally RIGHT) outside our tents...all part of it I suppose. All in all a v. cool weekend though. Have a look at the pics...
