Alex: We have finally got to Melbourne and the magical Oz. Melbourne is a great city, we did a lot more wandering, which usually ended up with us sat in a lovely street cafe eating great food. Either that or turning up to a market just as it was closing. We also went to Immigration Museum, which was really interesting and very well done although full of kids on school trips. Wednesday was ANZAC day, a public holiday, so most things were closed, so we did what every one does on a public holiday and went shopping in the local mall! We also tried our hand again at craps in the casino - turns out we were have a very lucky streak in Vegas!
Being disorganised with regard to Australia up to this point (it has always been so far away) we finally decided more what we are doing and how we are getting around. We must be gluttons for punishment after the US as we have decided to buy a Greyhound pass - the woman assured us they were completely separate from the US Greyhound, so we can only hope it will be better.
Canberra next.

Hey!
Hey there, wow you are in Australia now I am so jealous! Hope that you get the chance to Visit 1770 and stay at the Cool Banana Youth hostel, I totally loved it there (thats where I met that guy Will). Anyway, keep on trucking and try and avoid the hideous hoardes of drunken English scallies that seem to hang out in every bar available.... oh and australian miner - invariably weird!! xxx
