We arrived at Wild Turkey just in time for what we thought was the last tour. Ben and I had our touring down to a science by now - I hopped out of the car to let them know we were here and get a spot, and Ben went to go park the car. Also, we were freezing by this point! Both Charlotte and Nashville are much warmer than KY - although in reading the weather for KY we thought it was going to be warmer than it was - and we were not prepared! Ben dealt with the cold better than me, which was part of the reason why he would drop me off at the door because often times the car parking was a little bit far away.

When I got into Wild Turkey they told me that the last tour was at 3:00 pm and not 3:30 pm! I was shocked because online it said 3:30 pm - and when Ben and I were deciding if we should do Four Roses or Wild Turkey I had called Wild Turkey to make sure that they were still having their 3:30 pm tour - and was told yes. So I told my sad story to the check in people at the counter and it turned out that there was some miss-communication between the girl at the front desk who I spoke with and the people giving the tours. One guide said he would bring us to catch up with the tour that had recently left. When we got to them they were almost done, so the very nice guide took us on our own private tour! He was so nice and very, very interesting. He told us a good deal of history which the other tours hadn't, and he was just very pleasant in general. He gave us probably a longer tour than if we had been with a group, and Ben had lots of great questions which the guy really appreciated! He was also very impressed that we had done so much of the trail in just one day, usually it takes people 2 - 3 days!

He even did the tasting for us. After an entire day of doing tastings we were very quick about the tasting and thanked him profusely for being so nice.

We were exhausted and still had a half our drive to our hotel in Lexington, KY
